Advocate Now for $250 million in Cultural Facilities Funding

Now is the time to contact your state representative to support $250 million in state cultural funding.

Click on the link below to e-mail your state representative. Contact your State Representative before Friday.

Dear Advocates,

The Massachusetts House of Representatives begins debate this week on the Economic Investment Act (House 4324) sponsored by Speaker of the House Salvatore F. DiMasi (D-Boston), State Representative. Daniel E. Bosley (D-North Adams), Chairman of the House Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies; Representative Michael Rodrigues (D-Westport) and Representative David Torrisi (D-North Andover). This bill creates a cultural facilities fund of approximately $250 million over ten years to restore, expand, and build Massachusetts cultural and heritage facilities.

A commitment by the state to invest $250 million is expected to leverage an additional minimum of $250 million in private funding for a total investment of $500 million over 10 years. This will not happen without your advocacy!

Please write, call or e-mail your state representative asking him or her to support this critical investment in our cultural facilities. Please urge your friends and co-workers to join in this critical advocacy campaign.
