House Votes 152-0 to Override Governor’s Veto
Unanimous House Approval for the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund

Dear Friends,

Just minutes ago, the Massachusetts House of Representatives voted 152-0 to override Governor Romney’s veto of $13 million for the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund. The Campaign for Cultural Facilities thanks Speaker Sal DiMasi, Chairman Dan Bosley, Chairman Robert DeLeo, and Chairman Eric Turkington for delivering a resounding message of support for cultural tourism and for the arts, sciences and humanities in Massachusetts.

This is another in a series of key victories for the cultural community—not only to override the veto but to achieve unanimous agreement in the House.

The Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund veto override will be quickly taken up by the Senate.

We will alert you on the next steps.

Sincerely,

Dan Hunter
