MAASH Wins $1.3 million MCC Increase
Dear Friends,
I am very pleased to announce that — thanks to 686 MAASH-generated
letters — the Governor has accepted the $1.3 million funding increase
to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, providing $9.3 million for
cultural programs across the state. MAASH advocates also sent 431 emails to the Lt. Governor.
Thanks to everyone who responded to our call for advocacy. In two years, MAASH has demonstrated strong enough public support to win back-to-back funding increases and to become a focus of a new committee dedicated to Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development.
We have established a strong political foundation with effective
allies in the Legislature. With your help, we will continue to move forward.
Please note that you may be receiving this e-mail even if you are
not a member of MAASH. Please contact MAASH at 617-725-0155
to verify that your membership is up to date. Successful cultural
advocacy depends on your membership dues and individual contributions.
