House & Senate Dedicate $5.5 Million Facilities to Small Organizations
Jan. 2, 2008
Dear Friends, The House and the Senate passed an amendment to the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund that dedicates $5.5 million of the appropriated $25 million to cultural organizations with budgets under $5 million. The amendment to the FY 08 supplemental budget passed on December 28 and the Governor now has until the January 8th to sign or veto it.
With our coalition partners the Boston Foundation and the Massachusetts Cultural Council, we will begin advocating for cultural facilities funding in FY 09 soon.
Watch for the next action alert from MAASH to send advocacy messages to the legislature for the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund in the FY 09 budget.
Thank you for your support.
