We thank Speaker Sal DiMasi and Senate President Robert Travaglini for their leadership in making the cultural facilities fund a centerpiece of the 2005 economic stimulus bill. The Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund is the culmination of several years of work by Rep. Dan Bosley, Senator Jack Hart and Senator Stan Rosenberg in conjunction with an advocacy campaign organized by MAASH, the Boston Foundation and the MCC. We also thank Chairman Eric Turkington and all the members of the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development for their critical support.
A full draft of the MCC/MassDevelopment
press release about the new program is available online.
Thanks to all who helped advocate for this significant new funding program.
Sincerely,
Dan Hunter
